Universities told to help schools in poor areas raise attainment

An article on BBC News (February 2017) reveals that Professor Les Ebdon, director of the Office for Fair Access (Offa) believes universities must make more effort to take poorer students. He said that despite there being more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in higher education than ever before, there was “much more to be done”.
